Katie Gimenez is the founder and lead planner for Hello Katie Events. With more than 15 years of industry experience, Katie has led events from 20-500+ guests across North Texas and Oklahoma. From benefit concerts to product launches, baby showers to galas, weddings to motorcycle rallies - she has done it all.
Katie’s expertise doesn’t end at events, but encompasses marketing, communications, fundraising, and business development. She has worn many hats - nonprofit executive leader, graphic designer, community volunteer, small business owner, grantwriter, clean-up crew, and everything in between.
During her career, Katie has worked with major corporations including Walgreens, Harley Davidson, Capital One, Zillow, JCPenney, Rent-A-Center, and JPMorgan Chase. Her corporate and nonprofit clients include Pieces, Mary Collins Agency, Housing Connector, Rodeo Celina, and Single Parent Advocate.
When she’s not working, Katie can be found treasure hunting in thrift stores (ask about her VHS collection!), polishing her pinball skills, screening films for the Asian Film Festival of Dallas, and searching for the best horchata latte in DFW.

Emerald Oatis-Lamei is executive assistant at Hello Katie Events and Katie’s right hand and PIP (Partner in Party). In addition to her work at Hello Katie Events HQ, she is our go-to gal for event day support and execution.
Emerald is a British television aficionado, PhD student, and lover of all things 80s. In her free time, she enjoys hosting karaoke parties, traveling for concerts, and summer afternoons at the pool.
